Company profileHistory of Chef's experienceLa Gourmandise catering is a small family owned business, started by David Mopin. Since David immigrated to Australia in 2002, he started organising private dinner parties and cocktail parties. Their popularity forced him to open a catering outlet to cook from, thus becoming the start of La gourmandise Catering. Executive Chef, David Mopin, originated from Normandy in France. David attended Rabelais University and completed the highest possible degree (8 years) in Hospitality, qualifying him to be not only a Chef, also a Pastry Chef, Hotel Manager, Maitre D, Chocolatier, Glacier, and Caterer. David brings you his experience in cooking from his international travelling for you to indulge. David can offer you exotic flavours he learnt from his international travelling on five star cruise liners, being in charge of 110 chefs and cooking for 3000 passengers, travelling all around the Caribbean. Head Chef, Christophe Chevallier, also originating from Normandy in France, has recently joined David and Carla with their business. Christophe also attended Rabelais University, and completed a similar degree as David. Christophe has done extensive travelling with his Cheffing, also working on the cruise liners in the Caribbean, as well as working in England, Luxembourg, Spain, French Guyana and Andorra. Christophe and David worked together in France, opening and running a Restaurant together, and now are here in Australia for you to share and experience their own concept of cuisine. Concept and policy of our foodLa Gourmandise uses only the highest quality ingredients. Most of their items are locally found boasting our Western Australian produce. La gourmandise also uses many quality French items, which are ordered especially for you, depending on your menu.
